The universe has always had its way in events surrounding humans and we’ve all had coincidences in life in one way or another. But some coincidences have beaten every logical explanation because of their mysterious nature. Some of these coincidences can be surprising, mind-blowing, and or outrightly eerie. This rare but common phenomenon has prompted scientists to embark on serious research to establish what exactly causes coincidences as far as human nature is concerned. Below are the top ten unbelievable coincidences that happened to people.
1 Violet Jessop
Born on October 2, 1887, Violet Jessop had not only a coincidence full life but also the coincidences saved her life big time. Violet was born in Argentina, and her parents were of Irish origin. Her love for cruise ships saw her get a job at the White Star Line Company in 1910 working on the Olympic Vessel. On 20th September 1911 Olympic Vessel was struck by a British warship to sink it. Fortunately, the Olympic ship managed to steer to the dock safely, and Violet Jessop escaped unharmed. Violet Jessop later moved and worked as a stewardess on RMS Titanic, a sister ship to the Olympic Vessel.
On April 10, 1912 while on a voyage from South Hampton, RMS Titanic rammed into an iceberg, and luckily Violet Jessop boarded a lifeboat and escaped unharmed. 1,503 lives were lost during the incident. The third incident was when Violet was working as a nurse in the Britannic, which was transporting wounded British soldiers. On 21st November 1916 after a series of successful voyages through the same route, Britannic rammed into a mine installed by a German Submarine. Violet again escaped by boarding lifeboats. However, she suffered a head injury.
2 The Jim Twins
Naturally, twins are known to have major common traits since their conception. The fact that twins, especially the identical twins, have the same genetic structure explains why they tend to perform things the same way to each other. If one identical twin loves coffee, the other twin will 100% be a coffee lover too. However, differences in the form of doing things may happen to twins if they are raised in different environments. Separated at the age of three weeks, the Jim twins hold the most unbelievable coincidences. Jim Lewis and Jim Springer were both adopted by different families and later reunited at the age of thirty-nine. What sparked more curiosity and even drew the attention of scientists from the University of Minnesota headed by Thomas Bouchard were their life events. First, the twins were named Jim by their adoptive parents. This was not intentional; the parents had no idea of each other.
The twins lived forty miles apart but never met during their childhood age. They smoked the same cigar brand. The eerie part about them is that they both had Linda as their first wives, divorced and both remarried to women named Betty. Their sons were both named James Allan. The twins united in 1979 after Jim Lewis phoned his supposed brother. This happened after Jim Lewis, and his adoptive mother had visited the court to finalize the adoption papers, and in the process, they overheard someone mention that the other baby was named James “Jim.” Jim Lewis went back to the court and requested for the address to the Jim Springer adoptive parents. He called his brother, and the first word he uttered was, “Are you, my brother?” Jim Springer, on the other end, responded, “Yes.” They mated later after four days and realized they had a lot more in common. They both bit their nails, and both had dogs called Toy.
3 Joseph Figlock & the Falling Babies
Joseph Figlock is another man to have been a victim of coincidences. Joseph Figlock was a street cleaner when he experienced two separate events that were coincident. Figlock was not your regular street cleaner, but also a baby magnet. In 1937, Figlock was hit by a baby who was falling from the fourth floor of a story building as he was by down the alley. Thankfully, both the baby and Figlock survived but with injuries. What would appear like a creepy coincidence is that a year later, Joseph Figlock saved another baby falling at terrific speed from the sky!
Just like the first baby, David Glenn Thomas, the baby saved by Figlock fell from the forth Storey window and landed on Figlock’s head. To add, the two incidences happened at the same time but different streets. Thankfully, Baby Glen Cheated death and escaped with injuries on the arm, thigh shoulder, and a wound on the skull. The mothers to the two babies must have thanked Figlock for his “baby magnets” otherwise the babies would have fallen to their deaths.
4 Twins Die the Same Death

This supernatural connection is also evident in creepy and freaking incidences like death. This spooky incident happened to two identical twins in Finland. They both died the same death.
In the year 2002, two seventy-year-old twin brothers were hit by a truck and died two hours apart on the same road. The first twin, while riding his bicycle along Raahe which was six hundred kilometers from Helsinki was hit by a speeding truck and lost his life on the spot. Two hours later his twin brother went by the same road riding his bicycle and coincidentally was hit by a truck and died. The second twin died just 1.5 km from where his twin brother’s spot. One finish police officer was quoted, saying, “It made my hair stand when I heard the two were brothers and identical twins at that.”

The attendant who was taking King Umberto I’s orders was shocked to see his look alike, and on the other hand, Umberto was equally astonished. They appeared as if they were looking in a mirror. After a minute of astonishment, the two gentlemen sat down to know each other more.
Their conversation would get more exciting and fascinating as the two gentlemen realized that they were not just look alike, but also shared many everyday things in life. They were both named Umberto, They were both born on March 14, 1844, in the same town called Turin and each had a wife called Margherita. To add, Umberto’s look alike opened his restaurant business on the day Umberto ascended to power as the king of Italy. The two men lost their lives to gunshots in a tragic turn of events. Seven days later, Dean lost his life to an accident with his car. Also, months before the crash, Dean was in an advertisement warning the drivers to drive safely because they would be saving Deans life.

Uncanny, but pure truth, the two soldiers died four years apart with John Parr being the first British soldier to die during the World War I and George Ellison being the last soldier to die few minutes before the war was called off. At age 16, Parr is believed to have been shot dead by advancing German soldiers when the war started.
On the other hand, George was a fully skilled and a well-trained solder when he was shot dead a few hours before the terrible war that claimed millions of lives was called to end. On December 5, 1785, another ship sunk in the same place as the first ship, everyone aboard the ship died except one person, and his name was Hugh Williams. Lastly, on December 5, 1820, another ship went down the sea and only one person cheated death, his name as Hugh Williams.
